It's happened to all of us. You've started working on a project and you have the perfect color for your project. The pattern calls for a sports weight yarn - but the label to your perfect color is long gone. How can you easily figure out what weight your yarn is? Grab a pencil and this chart and you will have your answer in no time!
Take an ordinary pencil and start wrapping the yarn around the pencil. Don't wrap too tight! Make sure the yarn is snug, and not overlapping or showing gaps between wraps. Grab your ruler and see how many times your yarn was wrapped in a one inch measurement.
